Hey, it's me, Kornél, here to present you with my new album Stockholm Marathon! I began work on this back in late summer '18, right after moving back to my old flat here in Stockholm. It was a pretty strange time for me and I found myself reflecting a lot on this beautiful, boring city I never quite manage to move away from, on past relationships, experiences... just real life you know! I started experimenting with a combination of two well-tested ways of feeling better: making music and spending time with friends. That's how this album happened!

To elaborate, some of my dearest Stockholm people have been extremely involved in the making of this record: Niclas Skagstedt, a jazz musician and melodic mastermind who's been close to me since kindergarten, mixmaster Matt Karmil who makes sound come alive, and last but not least the amazing Rebecca Scheja and Fiona FitzPatrick (better known as poptastic post-EDM communists Rebecca & Fiona) whose singing is all over this thing. The album artwork is by another dear friend, Stockholm artist Malin Gabriella Nordin.

In the past, making music has mostly been a solitary pursuit for me. My previous album The Bells was largely the result of sitting alone in dark rooms for years. Funny thing that while Stockholm Marathon is more of a collaborative effort than anything I've done before, it also feels to me like my most personal record so far. The record is out April 26 on Studio Barnhus, the label I run with another two of my closest friends, Axel Boman and Petter Nordkvist. I hope you will like it!

Take care! Peace to all the real DJs out there.
